The organisation:
Our client is at the forefront of designing, building and servicing state-of-the-art mechanical and biological waste recovery facilities to convert wastes into new streams of use for their clients, helping Australasia to transition to Circular Economy.
The role:
As the Business Development Manager, you are tasked with a predominantly growth focused role combining, Sales engineering and Project planning. Working closely with the director, you will focus on building stronger relationships across the operational space and securing sales with a new and existing client focus.
Some of your duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver sales action plans plus annual sales & marketing budgets
- Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, negotiating prices, securing new orders, and arranging deliveries for all MECBIO offerings
- Work with the marketing team to define market segments, contact planning, and all advertisements.
- Nurture relationships with important clients through regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
About you:
As an experienced salesperson who has worked with a variety of sales cycles (anywhere from 6 weeks to 6mths plus), you will have the tenacity to stick to a call or visit cycle and thrive on building valuable relationships in the process. Including having a strong work ethic and treating people with respect you will bring:
- At least 2 years of sales experience within a highly technical / mechanical industry
- A high level of technical capability and understanding (ideally having sold large industrial heavy equipment for a likeminded organisation)
- A highly driven and self-motivated attitude with a proven ability to "close" sales
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Unwavering integrity and confidentiality
What's in it for you:
- Generous remuneration package for the right candidate
- Company vehicle
- Excellent organisational culture
- Working from home or on the road
The successful candidate can be based in either NSW or VIC
