We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Officer (Full Time) to be part of our team at ECA Internships in our Melbourne office.
ECA Internships works closely with International Students, Universities, RTO’s and Host companies to provide students with Internship experiences specially matched to skill profiles.

- The primary duty of this role is to foster business growth for Internships by effectively managing client relationships with host companies, acquiring new hosts, and maintaining existing ones.
Key Responsibilities:
Host Company Development for target market segments
- Develop a range of Host companies basis segmentation analysis on Students
- Leverage self-sourced Host companies for conversion to ECA host companies.
- Grow Host companies for Professional Year to ensure easy availability for placement in line with business needs.
- Develop new partnerships with industries which would embrace Internships
Relationship management and retention strategies – Host companies
- Develop platforms (E.g., Host Speaker sessions) that build engagement for sound relationship management with host companies.
- Maintain business relationships with new and existing partners via follow up emails, face-to-face meetings, and social media connections.
- Share student feedback with host companies to work towards continuous improvement
- Attend relevant networking events to build new relationships and potential host company leads.
Internships Brand Imagery
- Develop partnered programs with Host companies to showcase both Host Company and ECA’s image in positive light.
As the successful candidate you will ideally have:
- Attention to detail, efficiency and IT proficiency and ideally access to a good network of entities and the skills to grow our host company network.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Can easily approach clients and start a conversation, deliver pitches, make and deliver compelling presentations.
- The ability to establish local networks, connect with diverse range of stakeholders and maintain relationships.
- Excellent Microsoft suite skills, Canva knowledge
- Research and Analysis skills
- Negotiation Skills – Ability to lead and close negotiations.
- A positive attitude, highly motivated yet calm under pressure.
- A strong attention to detail and analytical skills
