About this role: Chief Business Development Officer - Renewable EnergyWe are working closely with a global power company who has assets on the ground in Australia and is looking to establish an office to further develop their Renewable Energy portfolio. The client is seeking an experience Chief Business Development Officer to drive new opportunities in the Renewable Energy industry in Australia working closely with the global Chief Business Development Officer you will be the first point of call for all new brownfiled and greenfield opportunities.
Reporting to the local CEO the Chief Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, securing and deliverying investment opportunities in Australia. Using your already established newtwork accross IPPs, investors, banks, market service providers etc along with your Business Development experience in both brownfield and greenfield power assets, you'll work with the local executive team with the support of the gobal business to grow the Renewable Energy portfolio here in Australia.
What you need to bring:
15+ years in Business Development with 10 of those in Renewable Energy.
University degree in relevant field and an MBA is desired.
Extensive leadership skills at executive or general management level.
Understand the complexities of the energy market locally and internationally.
Previous experience in a large global business highly desired.
Strong commercial accumen especially within M&As.
A strong local network with lenders, investers and other stakeholders within the power industry.
Strong contract negotiation skills with EPCs and O&M services.
Ability to build strong relationships.
