About the Role:
The primary purpose of the Business Development Officer position is to promote revenue growth by exploring opportunities in new markets or partnerships that could boost business growth.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Formulate a growth strategy focused on financial gains and participant satisfaction.
- Establish robust connects with key stakeholders in the Disability sector, such as hospitals, mental heal units, support coordinators and the National Disability Insurance Scheme is essential. This collaborative approach aims to increase growth at Newdawn Support Services
- Schedule and conduct business meetings with all potential participants.
- Promote NDSS on social media platforms and engage in overall advertising strategy with the executive team.
- Expand the participant base through proactive participation in networking events, prospect research, cold-calling, lead follow-up, generating leads and working with the current digital marketing company.
- Conducting Business development activities to increase NDSS programs within the local community and other potential locations.
- Support participants who do not have NDIS funding but may be eligible to gain funding through the NDIS with assistance from the NDIS Services Manager.
- Coordinate information sessions and resource development in response to stakeholder needs, i.e. staff, families, and carers.
- Work with Executive team to support innovative and responsive service delivery, and disability sector information.
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS environment, funding and reporting models, service delivery models, and quality service frameworks
- Computer and database skills as well as skills using Microsoft 365
- Strong project management and leadership skills that incorporate strategic planning, innovation, methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated skills in increasing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships across the arts, disability, community and health sectors and referral sources, seeing consistent growth and longevity in partnerships.
- Experience working with people with a disability from diverse backgrounds.
