BUSINESS MANAGER
Irene McCormack Catholic College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person for the role of College Business Manager. Ideally, the person will be future focused with a spirit of entrepreneurship that will see the College grow and become the school of choice in the region.
The Business Manager assumes a key leadership position in the College and, as a member of the College Executive Leadership Team, is responsible for driving the strategic direction and continuous improvement of all aspects of the College’s operation. In particular, the Business Manager is responsible for financial management, strategic planning and capital development, management of resources and infrastructure, occupational health and safety, administration of human resources, payroll and records, and compliance with legislative, government and CEWA policies. The Business Manager is expected to model and give witness to the Catholic faith, traditions, and values.
INTRODUCTION TO THE COLLEGE
Irene McCormack Catholic College offers a Catholic education from Year 7 to Year 12 that is Christ centred and Student focused, and inspired by the life of Sr Irene McCormack, Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the Sisters of St Joseph of the Scared Heart. The College is committed to providing a holistic teaching and learning program underpinned by a strong and vibrant pastoral care program and enriched by a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Business Manager shall demonstrate the following key competencies and skills:
- relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance are essential (CA/CPA qualifications and or MBA would be considered favourably).
- relevant experience in the management of complex organisations.
- capability to provide guidance and support to the College Principal and College Advisory Council on all matters pertaining to financial management and capital development.
- a strong commitment to the College’s mission, vision, and values.
- an understanding of the Catholic ethos and how it guides all decision-making.
- highly advanced accounting and financial management skills.
- excellent knowledge and skills in the use of digital technology.
- highly advanced budgeting and forecasting skills.
- an ability to formulate and present complex financial modelling scenarios.
- advanced communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- advanced strategic planning and critical thinking skills.
- capacity to prioritise operational needs and meet deadlines.
- the ability to lead a team of people and foster a positive school spirit and culture.
- a passion for self-improvement and an ability to grow the capacity of team members.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Tenure: Ongoing Full Time
Commencement Date: 15 April 2024
Salary: Agreed Rate in the range of $153,000 to $160,000.
Superannuation: As per the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth).
Salary Packaging: Salary packaging will be permitted, subject to the approval of the Employer.
Other benefits: Employees may take part in a Deferred Salary Scheme as determined by the Employer.
