About the Role
The Business Manager at Centenary Heights SHS will work within a team of 140 teachers and 90 non-teaching staff members to service the educational needs of 1750 students across 2 campuses. This role is a key position within the school. High levels of professionalism and proficiency is a requirement of the role. The successful applicant will need to be able to build strong relationships quickly and will need to navigate through the complex needs of a complex school environment, demonstrating high levels of autonomy and possess a proven ability to solve complex issues.
Key roles within the school include: * Lead and manage human resources for school staff (including the identification of emerging talent, promotion of excellent performance outcomes and mentoring individuals to achieve their professional potential);and provide advice on a diverse range of human resource management practices to the school's administration. Have a deep knowledge and proven ability to navigate through various industrial agreements and awards applicable to the school setting.
- Work closely with the principal and other school leaders to develop and maintain a working budget, provide strategic and specialist advice regarding the school's annual budget in accordance with operational plans, departmental requirements and changing legislative requirements.
- Manage facilities projects, negotiate with external contractors, develop and implement initiatives for facilities management, asset maintenance and replacement plans; demonstrating innovative directions for facilities management.
- Lead, influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders (Principal, parents, government, community groups, industry and businesses) that possess a diverse range of needs, modelling best practice and inspiring change that is strategic and informed by stakeholder input.
- Display high levels of engagement, availability, agility and problem-solving acumen when dealing with school staff, external contractors, solving facilities and security issues during and beyond the school day.
