If you would like to be a part of our team, we invite you to consider putting your talents to work with the Corporate Administration department.Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will provide and deliver excellent customer service through handling incoming calls and queries and relaying messages; maintain smooth and efficient running of the reception and meeting room area and administrative assistance to the Business Services Team.How you will create an impactAs a contributor at AIG you are the one the clients turn to in times of need. You act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems and the work you do every day is the heart of AIG’s business.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
- Present a professional and positive company image to clients and colleagues as the first point of contact for various groups and individuals such as employees, vendors, suppliers, couriers, contractors and the general public
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and guidelines, including Trade Practices, Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Fair Trading, Privacy and Complaints Handling, Code of Conduct, Values and Behaviours
- Punctually open the phonelines at 9:00am and close at 5:00pm daily
- Develop effective relationships with all parts of the business
- Work Health & Safety Committee Secretary duties including managing agendas, minute taking and follow-up on open agenda items
- Work Health & Safety Representative for the office
- Undertake a certificate in First Aid and CPR
- Travel Management Company password set up for all travellers
- Assist with adhoc projects and company initiatives
- Assist with office event planning and execution
- Booking and assisting with catering requests
- Maintain stationery and kitchen supplies
- Manage on boarding and offboarding of new and departing staff
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Computer proficient with intermediate word, excel and keyboard skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Understand the importance of being the first point of contact at AIG Australia
- Be self-motivated to work alone if a task is allocated away from the team environment
- Demonstrate an ability to learn quickly
- Maintain a strong focus on attention to detail to ensure quality is always delivered
- A self-starter who is flexible and adaptive
