- Size of the team fee base - $3 million plus
- Size of the team: 7

- Consulting:
- The approximate split between client consulting and management/compliance is 30% consulting and 70% tax compliance
- Typical areas of consulting include management reporting, due diligence, structuring plus general tax advisory for the local & international market
- Day-to-day aspects of the role:
- The role mainly involves reviewing, delegating, and providing support/training to the team and preparation only for the complicated files
- Oversee the management of BAS, FBT, Income Tax and ESS lodgements
- Oversee wellbeing of the team
- Train and mentor

- With client turnover of $5 million to $500 million
- Must haves
- A minimum of seven years’ accounting experience in external public practice
- Demonstrates a high level understanding of relevant taxation legislation & Accounting standards
- Highly competent re reviewing financial accounts and income tax returns
- Experience in preparation of statutory financial reports (preferred)
- Some experience and technical working knowledge of FBT and ESS (preferred)
- Experience dealing with overseas clients (preferred)
- High level of computer literacy, with an excellent understanding of accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinker with high attention to detail
- Ability to understand how actions and behaviours influence others, and how to regulate emotions to create a positive, empathetic, collaborative and respectful work environment
- Experience supervising/managing staff, with the ability to effectively mentor and manage staff through technical and other workplaces
- Strong commercial acumen
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Business or Commerce
- CA or CPA qualified
- Australian, NZ citizen or Permanent Resident visa holder a must
