AIRWAY are looking for an experienced Business Services Operator who will assist the team in identifying and delivering effective freight forwarding solutions for our clients.
THE ROLE
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external staff to ensure the efficient delivery of AIRWAY services
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients
- Deliver excellent frontline customer service, prioritizing tasks to meet timeframes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and growth, collaborating with team members to explore new ideas and solutions.
- Prepare quotations and consignment notes in database
- Book freight with appropriate carrier and timeframe
- Previous experience of working in a logistics or similar industry setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of freight management, pricing structures, volumes, weights, road rules/regulations.
- We are looking for someone who is client-focused, proactive, organised and has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency with sales management software (preferred)
