McArthur is seeking a high-performing Business Support Officer, to work within a collaborative and productive environment. Working closely with the Municipal Building Surveying teams, you will deliver efficient administrative support, whilst also providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a temporary opportunity across 4-6 weeks, and a great opportunity to work within Local Government. This opportunity has an immediate start and offers full time hours. Prior experience in the Planning and Infrastructure sector, will be looked at favourably. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to provide a clear National Police Check, Working with Children Check and proof of working rights. Key Responsibilities:Perform administration duties such as workflow management, data entry, correspondence, and filing.Utilise computer systems to record, maintain, distribute, manage workflows, and close applications/requests/customer enquiries and access database information to meet internal/external customer needs and respond to statutory obligations.Provide advice on administrative issues within areas of responsibility and respond to basic enquiries and as required escalate enquiries to the technical staff.Plan and organise resources to deliver projects including maintenance of accurate records and, if necessary, organising meetings.Draw on a range of information sources to identify new ways of doing things and building continuous improvement. Why you'd be successful:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Highly organised.Prior experience as a Business Support Officer, or in a senior administrative position.Demonstrated knowledge of the City Planning and Infrastructure sector.Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
