We seek a passionate, self-motivated, and well-organised individual with exceptional communication skills to join our team at the heart of the Energy Queensland Network. As a Business Support Officer, you will be based in our Brisbane office and play a pivotal role in our dynamic and diverse operations. Reporting directly to the Queensland State Manager, you will work in a cross-functional capacity and provide crucial administrative support across our business's commercial, operational, and financial aspects.
Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Execute the raising invoices, progress claims and purchase orders.
- Distribution of work calendars and tracking of work in accordance with the program.
- Compiling reports, managing timesheets and compiling work packages when required.
- Manage the collection of timesheets, submit payroll data, and control payroll documents.
- Liaise with critical internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, Downer employees, and the general public.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a cross-functional administrative environment with a diverse skill set.
- Intermediate proficiency with software applications and MS Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook and Word) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
- The ability and willingness to learn, as structured training and mentoring will be provided.
- A high level of attention to detail and an analytical mindset are necessary.
