Business Systems Analyst - Data

We are working with our Queensland State Government client to assist them in recruiting a Business Systems Analyst -Data to work on a data management and integration project.

The purpose of this role will be to create a Master Data Management plan / framework and be involved with creating data strategies.

In this role you will:

• Conduct Analysis of available information and data to draw conclusions and develop options;
• Be involved in the creation of data governance frameworks;
• Assist with the development of business requirements specifications for this project, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle;
• Liaise with other teams to validate requirements and assumptions and provide an enterprise-wide perspective;
• Assist with stakeholder engagement, assessment and the development of a stakeholder matrix and ongoing stakeholder management;
• Interpret business and user requirements and research possible application of the information systems solution to optimise local and enterprise-wide business outputs;
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships by communicating, consulting and negotiating with clients and other key stakeholders to ensure the achievement of your project's outcomes;
• Proactively promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting common expectations; and
• Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will bring:

• Experience with creating a data governance frameworks;
• Experience with creating data strategies;
• Understanding of Information Architecture;
• Experience with Master Data Management experience either mapping, setting standards or tool implementation;
• Experience with data mapping for Integration platform and implementation experience;
• Understanding of data cleansing techniques;
• Understanding of data warehouse / data lakes and key differences in business benefits;
• Involvement in analytics or predictive analytics projects;
• Agile and Prince 2 experience;
• Demonstrated ability to run workshops / interview / survey;
• Demonstrated ability to interview / liaise with C suite executives and frontline staff; and
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
