Peter Rowland is looking for a Cafe Manager to take ownership of our flagship venue, Peter Rowland & Co. Cafe in the District Docklands.
About the Role
We are in search of a highly passionate, motivated and dynamic Cafe Manager to manage daily operations of the flagship Peter & Co cafe. You will have solid experience in food and beverage operations, coupled with a strong connection to the coffee industry and the assurance of providing second-to-none experiences for the customer. You will take ownership of the cafe as if it were your own business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for supervision of all front-of-house staff and ensuring Peter Rowland standards are consistently met
• Efficient day-to-day operations through stock management, ordering, roster planning and leading from the front during service periods
• Strong commercial acumen to drive sales through competent planogramming, capitalisation of café trends and exemplary customer service
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure the menu is consistently relevant and catering to the needs of the customers at all times
• Staff mentoring, training and development of the team (Championing)
• Assisting the General Manager – Retail & Commercial Operations to ensure that there is a strong focus on maximising revenue whilst controlling costs across the venue
About you
• Previous experience managing a cafe
• Solid industry understanding and F&B knowledge
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong visual merchandising abilities with a keen eye for detail
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (mandatory or willing to acquire)
• Barista certification / solid skills (mandatory or willing to acquire)
This food service cafes operate 7 days a week, flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required by the business, including weekends and public holidays will be required.
