Role:
Jungarni-Jutiya Indigenous Corporation based in Halls Creek, is seeking a passionate person to join their team as a Full-Time Case Worker.
The Case Worker with the support from the Program Manager will:
- Take the lead role in building the capacity of families through the delivery of focussed, flexible supports utilising the Key to Care framework to engage, motivate, explore, plan and work towards agreed goals.
- Ensure the provision of outreach to families at a location and frequency that provides the required support.
- Undertake a holistic assessment of a family across broad interconnected domains to inform a culturally safe and comprehensive case plan.
- Ensure case management is focused on the cultural needs of the family and incorporates a trauma informed approach to support healing and recovery.
- Day to day oversight of direct support staff including task setting, coaching and development opportunities.
- Develop relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders including the Department of Communities and local community supports.
Diserable selection criteria:
- Demonstrated understanding and/or skills in:
- Cultural competence
- Effective oral and written communication
- Capacity to engage the local community
- Ability to promote participation by service users
- Ability to assist in the collection and analyse of service usage data
- Relevant previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other service providers and funding bodies.
Candidates will be required tosatisfactorily complete a National Police Records Check, Working with Children Check and a 395 screening check from the Department of Communities.
