The Case Worker role is part of an innovative program, the KWJ Childcare Career Launch Pad Project, training and placing people from priority cohorts and CALD backgrounds into CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care supported traineeship employment.
About the Role:
Reporting to the RTO Program Manager, Education Manager Early Childhood Education and Care and working in consultation with the Training Department, we are seeking a Case Worker to engage and support Learners to complete their qualification. The Case worker role will work effectively and collaboratively with the project staff including Placement Coordinators, Provisional Psychologist as well as external agencies such as Wellbeing Advisors to advocate for a positive and healthy environment for our participants with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct and set up engagement activities and events to recruit participants into the project
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming project referrals and record all participant project enquiries
- Conduct Initial Needs Assessments (INAs) with participants to develop a tailored and comprehensive plan for each participant
- Deliver training to Learners undertaking CHC30121
- Deliver tailored workshops that provide participants with targeted skills (for example job-specific training, introduction to working in a childcare environment, self-branding and promotion, vision mapping, career progression strategies)
- Provide participants with career development guidance and resources to equip them to be work ready and skills necessary to conduct themselves at work and health including safety needs
- Provide individualised support to women based on their needs and requests, focusing on Education and employment goals
- Support participants by acting as an independent third-party support
- Ensure participants are equipped to commence employment (WWCC, Work uniform, shoes, laptop etc)
- Timely administration; data entry; recording of visits and contacts with participants
Selection Criteria:
- A genuine appreciation and desire to deliver exceptional client service
- Experience and excellent case management skills working with Learners from CALD and disadvantaged backgrounds
- Ability to proactively address client requirements and generate appropriate solutions
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work unsupervised and independently and prioritise work demands.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to a team environment
- CHC50121 or CHC50113 Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in TAE (with upgraded units TAELLN441 or its successor or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) or TAE40116 Certificate IV in TAE or diploma/higher level qualification in adult education
The successful applicant will require a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and current Driver Licence.
