About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 1,900 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. We work towards this through the contribution of staff who are employed in a wide variety of fields, from correctional officers and teachers, to social workers, psychologists and supervisors of court orders. Duties
The Casual Administration Officer is responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective range of general administrative support duties to business units within the Northern Business Centre precinct.
Locations
The Northern Metropolitan Correctional Business Centre provides services to custodial and community corrections Business Units throughout the northern metropolitan areas including the Yatala Labour Prison, Adelaide Women's Prison and Adelaide Pre-Release Centre and Community Correctional Centres located at Holden Hill and Elizabeth.
Special Conditions
- This is a casual position and there are no guaranteed hours of work.
- A 25 percent casual loading applies in lieu of sick leave and annual leave.
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
Remuneration
ASO2 ($57,842 - $62,221 pa, plus 25% casual loading)
