Are you passionate about your community?About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated Case Worker for our Safe Space Program! You will provide immediate solutions for those who are sleeping rough in North West Tasmania. Additionally, you will provide safe shelter at night with emotional wellbeing and physical support to those who use the program. Responsibilities includeAssess each participant to ensure it is safe to provide shelter for the nightCollect brief personal data about their current situation (with their consent)Provide participants with information about support services they can access to assist them move into transitional housing/supportDevelop short individual plan to identify and assess their immediate needsAcquire and maintain a good working knowledge of health and AOD servicesThis is a casual position, based in Burnie, TAS.
