A little about the role
Our team of Social Workers and Case Workers provide service delivery
throughout Tasmania across our Foster Care and Intensive Family Engagement
programs.
Our Fostering Program are currently looking for Social Workers/Case Workers
to join the team in supporting our foster care placements – both to ensure
our children and young people in out-of-home programs are suitably matched
with carers, and that our carers are supported in providing children and
young people with a relational care experience.
Whilst the role is based at Launceston and servicing
surrounding areas of the Southern region, hybrid working options are also
available!
As a Social Worker/Case Worker in our Fostering team, you
will be responsible for:
The participation and negotiation between Key Assets and the
Department to ensure that each child or young person referred to Key
Assets’ Out of Home care Program is matched with a carer who has the
capacity to meet their needs.
Being present and proactive in supporting placements in order to
avoid placement breakdowns by developing and implementing tailored
placement support plans for the immediate, short and longer term in
accordance with Key Assets practice and policy and in collaboration with
key stakeholders, the Key Care Team.
Supporting and coaching foster carers to learn and grow in
confidence and ability guided by the Key Assets Practice Framework for
Foster Care, and in adherence with organisational and Departmental
legislation, policy, procedures, standards and competencies.
The base salary for this position is $80,964 - $87,126 per annum + super +
vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.
This position is a full-time, ongoing opportunity.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll come with:
Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant
recognised Qualification;
Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children,
young people and families;
Tenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a
creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
