The Role
This is your chance to contribute to an organisation - which focuses on its people and culture, listening to our clients and developing our platforms to better serve our clients. In this role you will manage commercial arrangements and relationships within one or more categories directly with suppliers or in consultation with business representatives, to drive the overall business cost down to support better returns for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a strategic position for one or more categories to assist the Insignia Financial Group in achieving strategic and business targets
- Lead complex Insignia Financial sourcing projects including requirements gathering, business case development, tender preparation, evaluation, supplier negotiation and implementation whilst collaboratively engaging with key stakeholders to deliver effective procurement outcomes.
- Utilising spend data, market insights and other relevant information to provide commercial/sourcing solutions to business stakeholders, and the development of category strategies
- Delivering category savings through the rationalisation of the supply base, development of panels and other innovative solutions
- Identifying categories where a panel of preferred suppliers can be established to deliver better outcomes for the organisation
- Leading the Sourcing Managers and developing their skill sets to manage the spend more effectively
- Addressing supplier risk with support from legal as part of finalisation of contract terms and conditions
- Exercising sound business acumen in financial management, benefits realisation, and the application of policies
- Providing subject matter expertise to Agreement Managers and business stakeholders, including risk/regulatory compliance and outsourcing assurance partners
- Preparing submissions and attending Sourcing and Risk Committees for strategic sourcing arrangements.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Procurement or Accounting or Legal or other business-related tertiary qualification
- A wealth of experience in Financial Services or the Superannuation Industry
- Previous experience in Procurement or Commercial Management
- MCIPS or equivalent preferred
- Exposure to technology procurement is advantageous but not essential
