Occasions Category Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Category Manager who is dedicated to delivering exceptional category management, whilst always on the lookout for ways to improve.
Join our customer offer team and help support our Adelaide based office by supporting our leaders and embedding best-in-class category management practices into our ways of working.
Your contributions
- Produce and communicate an annual category plan for each occasion, prioritise actions and implement the plan
- Negotiate with suppliers to set terms that reflect the OTR business plan - Ensure lines reflect occasion trends in the marketplace to ensure OTR remains relevant and solves the challenge of the occasion for our customers
- Determine range and space management, optimising planograms to increase market share and drive maximum sales - Liaise with the Planogram Controller to ensure that planograms up to date so the 'right stock, right time' principles are managed
- Prepare and deliver the promotional program to meet business objectives, aligning to the business strategy - GP$ (LFL) vs target met - Sales (LFL) vs target met
- All documentation is accurate and submitted on time, including promotion submissions, price changes, new article forms
- Successfully handling additional duties or requests with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ensure range is accurate and in stock for all new and refurbished site openings
- Identify cross-selling and other opportunities to leverage the occasion
- Set and review priorities and KPIs, monitor and analyse data and prepare regular reports with commentary and recommendations for action

What we are looking for
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role and retail industry.
- A solid understanding of category management
- Previous experience reviewing sales data to make decisions regarding ranging, pricing etc.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships our suppliers.
- Someone who embraces change, as our organisation grows nationally.
