Qualifications & experience
- Preferably Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery with 2 years of experience.
- At least 3 years commercial experience in cooking Indian food.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparation of recipes
- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food including Indian special cuisines
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies,
- sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Adhere to health and safety regulations including food safety and hygiene.
- Train kitchen staff
