Chefs' assistant

Ballina Comfort Inn All Seasons are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive cook to join our team.

Casual position available. Shifts will evening Monday - Thursday approximately 16-22 hours per week.

Other shifts on demand for group bookings, confrences and functions.

The role will be to assist in day-to-day operations. This role will have you working in all areas of the kitchen, preparing various food items from our restaurant menu by using various cooking methods.

Requirements:

• Experience – Minimum 1 year in a kitchen
• Flexible availability
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
• Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements
• Can work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Job tasks and responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for our restaurant, room service and functions.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Ensure efficient preparation and delivery of meal services
• Food preparation 
• Dishwashing 
• Participate in Stock take and inventory control
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and food storage areas
