About the Opportunities
This is an exciting opportunity for a Head Chefto put their stamp on the menu & continue growing the reputation for excellent food. Our kitchen is a great environment for a suitably qualified Sous Chef, ambitious Chefs and budding Apprentice Chefs all under the leadership and direction of a newly appointed Head Chef with support from Executive Chef. This is a great opportunity to continue your career with genuine work-life balance in a 5 day a week venue, work alongside award winning hospitality professionals and influence hospitality in Bendigo, city of Gastronomy.
Skills & Experience
- Head Chef: Relevant experience in a quality venue, the ability and enthusiasm to make your mark on the menu, achieve consistency and the ability to efficiently manage a team
- Sous Chef: Experience as a Sous Chef or be eager to step up into a position of leadership to assist the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen and staff management.
- Chefs & Apprentices: Be willing to learn, love working in a professional and fun environment and have the desire to create great food!!
All positions MUST demonstrate
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, interpreting and nonverbal skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and staff;
- Demonstrated understanding of guests expectations in a hospitality setting,
- Flexible attitude to work and an ability to accommodate and adapt to change,
- Good organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise, work independently and as part of a team and work well under pressure,
