Civil Labourer

CIVIL LABOURER - Labourers are responsible for the cleaning, mowing and maintenance of parks, gardens, drains, bus stops and playgrounds.

• Monday – Friday, 6am-3pm 
• 6:00 until 15:00 daily, Monday – Friday; 9-day fortnight. Morning tea daily for approximately 20 minutes, 30-minute lunch break Work Environment Work environment is outdoors mainly

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be required to support the delivery of maintenance activities related to existing infrastructure within roads, transport, stormwater, drainage and coastal. The purpose of the role is to undertake general labouring and other duties across a range of infrastructure maintenance works.

• Complete day-to-day labouring activities as directed by Crew Leader or Team Leader, including participating in a rotation of activities, assisting other team members in works completion and engaging in solution generation and implementation.
• Provide highly effective, courteous customer service through communicating with staff and the public and providing accurate information or referring them as required.
• Provide after hours and weekend services as determined by scheduled maintenance and role responsibilities.
• Maintain a positive approach, work autonomously, encourage teamwork and cooperation and sustain productive relationships with internal staff and the community.
• Complete traffic control duties, including adhering to Traffic Management Plans

  Skills and Experience:

• Concreting and Civil Experience
• Cert. II in Civil Construction or relevant experience
• ‘C’ Class License
• Construction Safety (White) Card
• Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) or ability to attain
• MR License highly regarded
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work well in team
