The day-to-day

An opportunity now exists at our Geochemistry division at Wangara for a Client Services Officer to join our successful Client Services team.

We are seeking a self-motivated person who understands the industry, business, and client requirements and will be capable of advising clients and staff on the technical aspects of environmental analysis.

This is a full-time position. You will work closely with our clients, providing quality service through technical and analytical advice and facilitating project delivery through effective communication and project management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the resolution of client queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Preparation of Quotations, including follow-up.
  • Analytical and Field data entry.
  • Provide telephone assistance and advice to clients.
  • Liaising between the Work Order Write-Up team, Sample Prep/Receipt team, and the Laboratory to ensure efficient and timely receipt, analysis, and reporting of client results.
  • Working with new and existing clients to increase revenue
  • Project implementation and monitoring 'managed' projects through the laboratory.

The Essentials

  • Interest in Science & a passion for Client Service (Essential)
  • Experience in commercial environmental laboratories (desirable)
  • Bachelor of Science (Chemistry or equivalent) (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong customer service focus with a drive to go the extra mile
  • Proactive 'can-do attitude to deliver solutions to our clients
  • Commitment to 'quality without compromise' in line with our Quality Management System
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone manner
  • Strong proficiency in the use of and ability to learn new computer applications, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
