Working in BlueScope's global Climate Change Team and reporting to the Manager Climate Change, this role is responsible for successfully coordinating and supporting the delivery of climate related projects across the organisation.
An initial focus will be on the developing and coordinating the delivery of BlueScope's climate-related external disclosures for FY24. This includes developing a project workplan, assisting in the preparation of report content, coordinating inputs from across key stakeholder groups and ensuring the timely delivery of key milestones throughout the project.
Other responsibilities include:
- Supporting the broader Climate Change Team on the effective operation and on time delivery of key projects that contribute to BlueScope's Climate Strategy and its strategic objectives.
- Coordination and where relevant, assisting in the preparation of papers for the Board and executive leadership team, support on internal stakeholder engagement activities and other internal reporting activities
- Coordination and support of external stakeholder engagement activities including investor-related presentations , collating responses for external surveys (e.g. CA100+, CDP etc)
- Engaging and coordinating projects with external consultants where required.
Qualifications
This role requires a highly organised individual with exemplary project coordination skills, as there will be multiple streams of work active at one time. As collaboration with multiple levels of stakeholders is a critical element is required, a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal is imperative, together with a strong focus to working towards deadlines and delivering high quality work outputs.
This is an administrative based position and requires exemplary admin skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ideally you will also have:
- 3 -5 years' project coordination / management experience (ideally in the broader sustainability/Climate Change field)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to make sound and timely decisions and independently manage deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- An understanding of the current climate landscape and/or emerging reporting requirements is advantageous
