What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of Engaging Assertively And Bridging Links to Empower (ENABLE) is to provide a standardised developmentally appropriate Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Perinatal Child Youth Mental Health Service (PCYMHS) post presentation follow up approach to service provision for young people who have presented to their local Emergency Department (ED) with a mental health presentation and a step-up / step-down approach to benefit young people at risk of hospital admission or ED presentation by offering intensive outreach / assertive crisis intervention/ risk management/ short term (up to 8 weeks) intervention as an outpatient to our current community consumers

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Postgraduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing Registration: Current unrestricted Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Registered Nurse require a minimum 5 years full time post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in perinatal, child, youth and/adult mental health.
- Demonstrated experience in working with parents and families with infants experiencing severe and complex psycho social and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period with demonstrated knowledge of the impact of mental health problems and mental illness on parenting, parent – infant relationships and infant development.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and experience in clinical teaching.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerised information systems and proven ability to utilise research / quality improvement strategies to effect changes in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Capacity to act as an independent consultant with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Current NSW drivers Licence.
