Clinical Nurse – Scrub Scout/Neurosurgery | Gold Coast

A fantastic chance awaits a proactive and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse specialising in Neurosurgery to become a part of the perioperative team at a private hospital located on the Gold Coast. It is a full-time permanent role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
• Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology;

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Neurosurgery Theatre;
• Clinical leadership ( Acting ) will be highly regarded;
• Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications;
• The desire and ability to mentor staff and the ability to work within a diverse team;
• Excellent communication and advanced interpersonal skills;
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills;
• You will bring a strong clinical skill set and have an interest in mentoring staff;
• You will be an experienced scrub/scout nurse with previous experience across all areas of Neurosurgery.
