As part of our Live Your Legacy philosophy, the Coops’ health and racquet club combines a range of group fitness, functional training, 24 hour fitness facilities and allied health activities with traditional racquet sports, coaching and aquatic facilities. About The Role
As a Club Receptionist, you will be an integral part of leading the way as Coops rebrands to reflect our new image and vision.
In this role, you will build key relationships with current members and tennis coaching clients to deliver a first-class level of service where every member of the club feels valued.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Working within a driven service team that maintains a total commitment to the lifestyle and sports philosophy of Club Coops;
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the full range of products and services provided by the club;
- Assisting in implementing strategic and operational planning processes and implementation activities that are designed to sustain and increase the membership and client base;
- In conjunction with the Customer Service Manager and other heads of department, actively support and assist in the marketing, promotional and sales activities as prioritised by the Chief Executive Officer;
- Ensuring the club’s products and services are visible and accessible to club members.
- Providing day to day front-line Customer Service and relationship interface, where your composure, diplomacy, negotiation and problem solving skills will be essential.
About You
- Ideally, you'll have experience in Customer Service and a passion for your own health and fitness.
- We want you to be able to work autonomously and take initiative with our members, ensuring positive engagement from beginning to end – this will mean you are a people person who will lead the charge each and every day – to make members and our customers feel welcomed and motivated.
- To excel in this role you will possess excellent communication, problem solving, time management, and organisational skills, combined with the ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including early mornings or late nights and weekends.
- You believe the glass is always half-full and you will know how to fill it and empty it when needed - your mindset is solutions oriented with the bigger picture always in mind.
- As the face of our business, you will be confident in your ability to build rapport and Customer engagement.
- Your oral and written communication skills will excel in all telephone, email and face-to-face interactions.

- Casual position – approx. 16 hrs a week, with the option to increase. Must be available to cover morning, afternoon/evening shifts and weekends.
