About the Role
This position contributes to the maintenance and development of the Shire’s coastal and natural reserves, assisting in delivery of a high standard infrastructure to the residents and visitors to the Shire of Esperance. In this role you will:
- Complete general inspections, monitoring, maintenance and construction of coastal infrastructure.
- Maintain coastal camping and recreational area facilities.
- Installation of general coastal infrastructure and implementation of coastal restoration and rehabilitation works in coastal reserves.
- Operate a range of small plant and equipment including chainsaw, posthole digger, hand tools etc.
This is a full time position, 85 hours over a nine day fortnight.
About You
To be successful and thrive in this role, you will have:
- White Card
- MR class drivers license
- Trade qualification or understanding of basic construction and maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of reserve maintenance/management practises
- Ability to work with limited supervision as well as in a team environment
Benefits
Salary: $76,079.25 - $79,211.49 per annum including overtime, dependant on skills and experience.
