As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Collections and Administration Manager to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Collections and Administration Manager to do a range of tasks including managing age receivables across various businesses and assisting the Director with administration based tasks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the business run day-to-day and maintaining and optimizing our accounts receivable process, with a focus on managing bad debts regulated under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP).
This role has the opportunity to earn a high commission based on the amount collected from outstanding debts.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration Tasks:
- Allocate fines and tolls for our fleet.
- Respond to customer service enquiries.
- Assist the Director with ad-hoc admin based tasks such as replying to emails, creating presentations and generating reports.
- Actioning insurance claims.
- Creating processes for the wider team.
- Accounts receivable.
- Dealing with external agencies when required.
Collections Tasks:
- Effectively manage and collect outstanding debts from clients across multiple business entities.
- Review and assess customer accounts to identify delinquent accounts and formulate a recovery strategy.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding issues.
- Ensure compliance with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP) regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights and recommendations. on improving credit and collections processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on collection performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Collections Officer in a financial services environment.
- Familiarity with collections processes and regulations, particularly under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
