The opportunity

You will play a key role in analysing market trends, pricing strategies, and financial performance to support decision making processes and drive business success. As well as:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and market dynamics.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, product profitability, and revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations to support pricing decisions and develop effective strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior management to communicate findings, recommendations, and performance metrics.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.

About You

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a successful Commercial Analyst within the Retail, Transport or Manufacturing industries, as well as:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting & Finance or CA/CPA certifications
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software/tools. Experience with SAP and Power BI is desirable
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organisation
