About the role
On the back of successful business growth, we currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Manager, based at Rocklea (QLD). You'll be providing strategic direction to the commercial sales team and commercial support to our Warehousing and distribution division.
What you'll be doing- Facilitate strategic direction for the commercial sales team with each industry lead
- Commercially support decision making within the Warehousing and Distribution Division for new work and existing sales
- Develop and present Business Case Submissions and market research
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify and recommend products to customers
- Facilitate direction setting for each industry the Commercial sales team
- Review monthly profitability and sales performance of the Commercial team
- Develop long term sales plans with an industry focus, aligned with the Warehousing and Distribution business model
- Coordinate accurate customer pricing, regular review of pricing and maintain an effective margin of products related to costs
- Ensure timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements
- Work collaboratively with the GM achieve sales and growth
- Establish and foster relationships with Industry Associations within target industries
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce
- Formal Accounting or Finance Qualification Desired, with previous experience in an analytical role
- Proven track record in Commercial Management
- Familiarity with Contract Law in Australia
- Ability to build and maintain financial models, and experienced in financial budgeting and forecasting
- Experience/exposure working in a warehousing and transportation of dangerous goods environment is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence outcomes to achieve business objectives
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to customer service
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
