Hedland Maritime Initiative (HMI) is the special purpose vehicle established to administer the Western Australian Government's Port Hedland Voluntary Buy-Back Scheme (PHVBS) and facilitate the planning and development of a Maritime Precinct.The Maritime Precinct is a long-term project with maritime links. The development concept is based on a flexible design concept that will need to recognise the amount of land that will become available, the potential uses of the land, and when the land will become available. We envisage the Maritime Precinct being delivered in a kit-of-parts to diversity uses, increase visitation and other economic activity, for the benefit of the Port Hedland Community.The Intent is to develop and activate the Maritime Precinct are into a vibrant precinct that provides for commercial, leisure, tourist, cultural, training, educations and other land uses.About the RoleThe Commercial Officer is responsible for preparing procurement packages related to property management, property redevelopment and other supply arrangements. You will also be required to prepare, review and negotiate contracts and leases and licences, as well as liaise with our internal legal teams in relation to those agreements You will also undertake the necessary contract and data administration, which support the compilation of information and reports that guide decision making and outcomes for the HMI team.About YouThis is a great opportunity to join a community focused and highly driven team, based in either Perth or Port Hedland.
