About the role
The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Manager – Marketing, in the financial management, compliance, and operations of AFF Marketing. This role will be responsible for assisting in the production of the company's financial reporting and to provide support with the fulfilment of other obligations such as tax and statutory reporting.
Key duties
Preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements.
Assisting with management of the general ledger relating to AFF Marketing, including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
Overseeing and assisting with AP/AR processes.
Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to.
Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation.
Preparation of ad-hoc reporting as required.
About you
You are an efficient, self-motivated individual – you are confident in your ability to demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.
You are an effective verbal and written communicator – you are able to express ideas in a concise and accurate manner.
You possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills with proven experience in an office workplace environment.
You work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You adapt to your environment well with the right attitude and commitment to continually develop your skill set, while also seeking the expertise, advice and perspectives from a variety of sources both within and outside the organization.
You are CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience at a corporate or accounting firm.
