Our client, a Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking a Communication and Event Management Officer for an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently and with a team.
The main purpose of the role is focused on leading the development and delivery of whole of government data, digital, cyber and customer conference which would require:
strong project management experience
event design and management experience
program design experience
stakeholder management
strong written communication
Excellent attention to detail
Strong proof-readying and copy-editing skills
Content development to produce communication material with a focus on clear, simple messaging tailored to different audiences.
Demonstrated experience in delivering engaging and high-quality presentations

As the Communication and Event Management Officer you add value by delivering highly effective and targeted communication, digital marketing materials and campaigns that support strategic projects and priorities. To achieve this, you will:
Research, write and edit a range of documents and communication resources to a high professional standard, including reports, speeches, media releases, presentation and communication material.
Collaborate with leaders and staff to develop content that meets objectives and delivered within set timeframes.
Build and maintain effective working relationships and provide strategic advice to senior leaders on Communication and engagement, and social media and media issues and opportunities
Manage the publication of content across the key communication channels, including its internet and intranet sites, and social media channels
Develop a range of high quality, contemporary communication products and solutions to support initiatives and programs
Remain abreast of the corporate design style and branding guides and ensure all material aligns with the standards.
Support uplifting skills and use of modern communication technology tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency Communication and engagement
