Your new role
As the Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and deploying integrated communications plans in plain English for use across multiple channels, including print, digital and social media, targeted to meet audience and project objectives. You will provide specialist advice on communication and brand services, and guidance on agency processes, policies and guidelines relating to communications.
You will work collaboratively with the Communications team, providing advice, guidance and support to stakeholders and continually seeking ways to continuously improve services and deliver innovative solutions to address identified communications needs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in communications in a government or corporate environment
- Proven ability to write in a clear, concise and engaging manner for different audiences and purposes
- Sound political nous identifying risks prior to them occurring and mitigating where possible.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach and to teamwork
- A National Police Check (NPC).
