Job Description
As a Community Engagement Officer at Bamara, located in Alice Springs, you will play a pivotal role in the Transition to Work department. This permanent full-time position within the Community Services sector offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
-Engage with community members to identify their needs and provide support in accessing relevant services and resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster positive relationships with local stakeholders, including businesses, government agencies, and community organisations.
- Facilitate workshops and events aimed at enhancing the employability skills of young individuals transitioning into the workforce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver initiatives that promote social inclusion and participation among diverse groups. Main Tasks: - Conduct outreach activities to connect with individuals seeking assistance in their journey towards employment.
- Liaise with external partners to coordinate mentorship programs and work experience opportunities for program participants.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes to monitor the effectiveness of Community Engagement efforts.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and communication campaigns to raise awareness about available support services.
- Provide mentoring to a caseload of our youth participants.
