About the Corporation
WaterNSW is a New South Wales Government-owned statutory corporation that is responsible for supplying the state's bulk water needs, operating the state's river systems and dams and the bulk water supply system for Greater Sydney and providing licensing and approval services to its customers and water resource information.
Position Purpose
This role is for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander candidates. To support the organisation's internal and external communication initiatives, with a specific focus on community aspects of projects undertaken by WaterNSW and put safety first.
Key Duties
- Project manage the delivery of WaterNSW's IPART pricing submission engagement including coordinating the activities of external contract providers.
- Ensure communication materials are developed to support communication and Community Engagement plans, including digital content, newsletters (internal and external), brochures and flyers, display materials, presentations, fact sheets and draft media releases in order to support WaterNSW's IPART pricing engagement.
- Provide advice across WaterNSW regarding Community Engagement activities and obligations.
- Manage Community Engagement databases for reporting and stakeholder relationship management.
- Plan and manage major engagement events, to meet organisational Community Engagement schedule and coordinate formal Community Engagement forums and committees acting as a facilitator and presenter when required.
- Serve as the key contact point for particular Community Engagement related inquiries.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Community Engagement, communications, public relations or significant equivalent Community Engagement experience.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Proven high level of experience in project managing Community Engagement activities including the development and implementation of Community Engagement plans.
- Proven experience in writing and editing complex material to meet the needs of a target audience.
- Preparedness to travel within NSW to meet the demands of regional engagement activities.
- Availability to work on call and out-of-hours duties.
- Experience in managing and evaluating contractors relating to Community Engagement processes.
