You will be responsible for the set up and implementation of a Community Hub centre for the Nundah community as per the role details below.
This is a temporary part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight (0.54 FTE), until 13 December 2024, unless otherwise determined.

Your Role
As the Community Liaison Officer you will:
- Develop and lead a community centre where participants feel valued and purposefully involved, sharing their strengths and guiding the development of Hub programs (in line with the CHA model https://www.communityhubs.org.au) providing a non-threatening environment for effective two-way communications between the school and parents/carers and the school community, in negotiation with the principal.
- Independently develop school and community links in a professional, confidential and respectful manner.
As the Community Liaison Officer you will have responsibility for the following:
- Develop and implement strategies for effective links between home and school related issues and to encourage greater interest and participation in school activities and programs.
- Promote activities to provide information to parents, the school and its community, and facilitate community development activities to improve relations between the school and its community.
- Establish and monitor school and community networks relevant to the position's role, in liaison with the school leadership team.
- Assist in recruiting and resourcing of volunteer help, including the coordination of a volunteer program.
- Carry out administrative tasks associated with the position's duties in a professional manner, including clerical duties related to writing and responding to correspondence.
- Approach program planning and development with flexibility and independence.
