Founded in 2009, Asia Pacific Group is an Education and Immigration consultancy services company. They currently operate across five offices - Head office in Melbourne (Australia) and a branch each in Sydney, Adelaide, Reservoir and Chandigarh (India). Their organisation consists of a team of registered MARA agents and Qualified Education Agent Counsellors.
The Role:
They are looking for a full time Computer Network Systems Engineer with an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation. This role will be based in their Kent Street Sydney workplace.
The Responsibilities:
Maintaining network security and configurations including CISCO Meraki firewalls, routers, access points, routing and switching equipment.
Providing network support to all end users and understanding and identifying major network dropouts, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software and network issues in all offices.
Maintaining hardware and software systems, repairing and troubleshooting servers, emails, desktops and laptops, and logging and resolving all identified problems according to the procedures and processes.
Installation and upgradations of servers, virtual machines and workstations in all offices.
Configuring, and managing Dropbox application, Microsoft Office 365, 2016 and 2019 and resolving all user issues efficiently.
Installing new phone systems and user systems, maintaining data and 8x8 voice network securely through routers, firewalls, switches and IPABX system in all branches.
Monitoring and performing troubleshooting of the network to increase performance, implementing and overseeing all security parameters to keep the data safe and protected.
Create procedures and scheduled regular inspections of servers, network equipment and system to maintain high quality and analyse and resolve the system problems, functionality or integrity.
Maintain user controls through the main server, manage user passwords on various platforms and suggest critical patches for Microsoft and Windows-based platforms to prevent security breaches and threats.
Develop network resources and train support personnel to provide level 1, 2 and 3 ICT support services to all end users
Coordinating with various team members for operational management including system security, performing regular backup and disaster recovery planning.
Preparing, implementing and maintaining database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures
Managing documentation in regard to Network Systems, determining future hardware and network needs, and recommending and monitoring hardware inventory.
Liaison with third-party security vendors, NBN service providers, and suppliers and recommend, install and maintain software security applications, and system upgrades across the company.
Optimized resource utilization to maximize productivity and to mitigate risks
The Requirements:
More than 3 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate setting
At least a Bachelor degree in IT or Computer Science
Must have over 3 years' experience to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
At least 3 years of relevant experience gained as a Computer network and Systems Engineer capacity
Intermediate computer skills - predominantly in Windows XP/7, cloud software, working knowledge of database systems (SQL, Oracle), also backup and recovery databases and MS Office
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
