Construction Manager
Tennant Consolidated Mining Group Pty Ltd (TCMG) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager for the relocation and construction of the TCMG processing plant from Cloncurry, QLD, to Nobles Mine, NT.
The role will be based at Tennant Creek reporting to the Project Manager, working closely with EPC Project Managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the Owners Team.
This contract position (12 months) will be offered on a 4 weeks on 2 weeks off roster based in Tennant Creek. There is a potential for extension as other projects are at an advanced stage and may be approved within the next 12 months. We are seeking an individual who is resident in the Northern Territory and can access site via FIFO or DIDO arrangements. Accommodation and meals provided at TCMG’s village in Tennant Creek.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day construction activities for the Owner’s Project Team, providing support for the Project Manager, and acting in their place in their absence.
- Manage cost, schedule, progress, commercial aspects, reporting and change control processes as part of an integrated Owners Team.
- Provide analysis and support to Project Manager, including preparation of progress reports, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Implement and maintain procedures and practices to comply with the company Safety Health Management System and the contractors individual Safety Management Plans.
As Construction Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the Nobles Processing Plant Construction Project. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects, strong project management skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
You will also possess the following:
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management while not essential will be favourably considered.
- Ideally, significant years of experience in construction of gold or mineral processing plants with demonstrable understanding of project management processes and principles
- Strong knowledge of all industry regulations and safety standards required in the Northern Territory.
- Proven track record of successful construction management
- Proficiency with standard project management packages including MS Project
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential barriers to success, develop strategies to mitigate risks and keep projects on schedule
- Self-managed, motivated, and committed.
