Grandeur Homes is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Construction Manager to join our vibrant and dedicated team.
Reporting directly to the CEO/Director you will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Shortlisting sub-contractors to ensure all work is to a high standard.
- Establish and maintain reliable trade base.
- Inspection and signing off on all works completed.
- Arranging mandatory notifications to Council.
- Ensuring all homes are completed within the required timeframes.
- Experience in managing teams of subcontractors is essential.
- An exceptional eye for detail.
- Very good written and verbal communication.
- Appropriate IT skills.
- Exceptional Client skills.
- Take ownership of jobs from commencement to completion
- Attend & contribute to meetings
- Complete weekly job reporting on all projects
- Minimum 10 years in residential building industry, preferably custom builder
- Increases management's effectiveness
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Attend DBDRV & VCAT Meetings
- Attend to VBA reports and any other inspections required for the smooth functioning of the company.
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
