Macquarie’s Commercial Legal team is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic property lawyer with experience in construction and/or leasing matters to work within our commercial/technology team of 17 lawyers. In this role there will be a focus on property, office and retail leasing and construction contracts plus general commercial work.
We strive to deliver our legal services with ingenuity and we are looking for a lawyer who is willing to think differently and shape how we can run the property portfolio of our practice more efficiently including through the use of legal technology.
Macquarie is also working with the NSW Government to deliver Martin Place Metro and there may be an opportunity within this role to assist with that project.
In addition to solid construction and/or leasing experience (preferably from a top or mid-tier law firm) and a commercial mindset you will need to be flexible and able to stay calm under pressure when dealing with competing demands and short turn-around times from internal clients around the world.
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer who is comfortable working independently with the support of a high-performing and collegiate global team in one of Australia’s most well-known companies.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch today and apply via the link. For more information contact Marion Harris on 0439 074508.
The Commercial Legal team is part of Macquarie’s Legal and Governance Group which provides the full range of legal and corporate governance services, including strategic legal and governance advice and risk assessment on corporate transactions, treasury and funding, insurance, regulatory enquiries and litigation.
