Logistics client based in Sunshine requires a Container Fleet allocator / Coordinator to join their team on a full time basis
Your new role
- Port bookings
- Customer allocation, planning and scheduling
- Liasing with internal staff including drivers, allocators and yard staff
- Customer service and data entry
- Assisting other team members as required
- Effectively and efficiently Time Slot across all wharves for the business
- Assist in updating customer bookings and delivery schedules
- Collation and accurate recording of customer job details and information
- Entering and reviewing information into in house systems.
- Have a proactive approach to ensure clients are always informed in advance of any matter that may affect the smooth operation of the business and its service offering.
- Managing client work across the week, ensuring that the customers' needs are met, and the outcome is operationally sound for the business.
- Create and be a part of a team environment that coordinates well with other operating divisions of the business.
- Accurately input Delivery Order (EIDO) or Export (PRA) paperwork into in house systems.
- Keep clients advised of the delays by monitoring the grid and liaising with fleet.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, to ensure safety to staff, the community and the environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Ability to maintain and build rapport with the Wharves and our existing and new customer base.
- Understanding of the Transport / Wharf Cartage business
- Strong service orientation and customer service focused.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated excellence in telephone manner and customer service
- Excellent administrative abilities
- Ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Reliable, flexible and team orientated
- Possess an eye for detail & strive for excellence
- Have excellent people and time management skills
