This role will report into the Chief Marketing Officer for six months and then to Head of Marketing (AU, NZ & US), who is currently on maternity leave. The role will also require close collaboration with the UK-based Content Marketing team. This will include sharing of best practice and key learnings and identifying collaboration opportunities for strategic Content Marketing initiatives that build the Tes brand, drive engagement, SEO rankings, and broadly help drive efficiencies and growth across the business globally.
Due to time-zone differences, this role will operate within slightly adjusted business hours due to the requirement of attending recurring meetings with our team in UK, Australia and the US.
Duties and Expectations:
- Lead the AU/US Content Marketing team and own the creation and delivery of the Content Marketing strategy with input from key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with fellow marketing professionals to support overall Marketing objectives across AU, US and UK time zones.
- Assist in defining the overall strategy and plan on how we can build our brand across Australia.
- Assist in establishing on how we can strike a balance with effort across different Tes products and regions.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and delivery of the AU/US Content Marketers and provide technical guidance and support.
- Work with SEO and marketing stakeholders to create content that drives engagement with Tes.
- Collaborate with the PPC team to scope paid campaign strategies that can be targeted for higher quality MQLs and better conversion to 'opportunity won'.
- Create and refine social media strategies and activities as part of the wider top-of-funnel content strategy.
- Leverage teaching expertise (from own experience or from experts in the organisation) to create content and messaging that resonates with an audience of teaching professionals
- Become an expert on industry terminology and how our AU, NZ & US audiences operate.
- Drive and inspire branded content industry developments and stay abreast of competitive trends.
- Share insights with stakeholders to inform strategic planning and decision making.
- Lead experimentation, research and planning activities for new channels, opportunities and ways to engage with customers that are aligned with company goals.
- Create monthly Content Marketing reports that with details of audience insights and performance data for future marketing activity.
- Define, implement and improve Content Marketing workflows, processes and practices, and document how they are designed to ensure efficient and collaborative teamwork.
- Manage and execute Ambassador activations (influencer marketing).
What are we looking for:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven copywriting skills (long form and short form) and can demonstrate an ability to efficiently produce high quality copy in line with business objectives.
- Comfortable using MarTech tools such as Canva, Asana, Sprout Social, Meta and Google Analytics.
- Understanding of social media channels and best practices in content creation and engagement.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge to leverage core SEO concepts (keyword research, metadata etc.) to improve organic channel performance through content.
- Experience in managing priorities of multiple stakeholders.
- A strategic outlook, but you understand when it's required to deliver tactically.
- Strong understanding of the business value of Content Marketing, with the ability to articulate this value to stakeholders across the business.
- Results driven and comfortable embracing a "test and learn" approach.
- Confident in sharing views and opinions in an open and respectful manner.
- Always capable of rolling up your sleeves to help others achieve the desired outcomes.
- You look for efficiencies, instead of reinventing the wheel.
