ZircoDATA is one of Australia's leading providers of information management solutions to the Australian market. We provide a wide range of services including records management, paper storage, vital records archive storage, data protection services, document destruction and document translation. We are in search of a CI Manager who will enhance our operational efficiency, productivity, and quality of ZircoDATA through strategic process improvements.
The CI Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement across the business’s processes, systems, and procedures and developing actionable strategies to capitalise on these opportunities.
The primary responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Coach stakeholders on Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide insightful feedback to empower stakeholders at all levels in executing improvement plans.
- Cultivate skills in CI tools and techniques among team members.
- Evaluate Lean maturity across diverse divisions and regions.
- Collaborate with business levels to set improvement targets and actionable plans.
- Drive projects from inception to implementation across various business functions.
- Manage ZircoDATA's core records management applications (e.g., DHS' Total Recall).
- Direct planning, design, development, and testing of core application functionalities.
- Ensure training materials and procedures align with application functionality and business needs.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships for support and enhancements.
- Facilitate CI initiatives within sites and functional units to improve operational processes.
- Coach teams on the effective utilization of improvement systems for sustainable results.
- Deliver engaging training sessions in automation and productivity disciplines.
- Adapt training approaches to cater to diverse learning styles and conditions.
- Define and align CI objectives with the strategic direction of the business.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to identify and capitalize on automation and productivity opportunities.
- Network internally and externally to integrate best practices into business operations.
- Develop and refine training materials focused on process improvement and best practices.
- Mentor staff on best practice techniques and problem-solving methodologies.
- Maintain trans parent communication, manage project statuses, and ensure adherence to goals and metrics.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and traits:
- Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with practical experience
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes and methodologies
- Advanced understanding of TQM
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory control.
- Experience at deploying technology within an operational environment.
- Positive can-do attitude
