Your brand new role will see you identify opportunities for improvement across the organisation's processes, systems, and procedures, and develop practical strategies to capitalise on these opportunities.
Key accountabilities
- Dive deep into the organisation's culture and business imperatives to identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
- Provide insightful feedback to stakeholders at all levels, empowering them to develop and execute practical improvement plans
- Cultivate confidence, skills, and capabilities in tools & techniques among team members
- Evaluate the Lean maturity of sites & teams across diverse divisions and geographic regions
- Collaborate with all levels of the business to establish improvement targets and practical plans and drive projects from start to finish for implementation
- Direct the planning, design, development and testing of the organisation's core application/s
- Manage vendor for third-party support/enhancement requests
- Coach teams on the correct utilisation of improvement systems and tools, ensuring sustainable results
- Work collaboratively with various functional leaders, employees, and customers to pinpoint and capitalise on significant automation and productivity opportunities across the business
- Establish and document clear and concise process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and consistency
Skills, experience, and knowledge
- Solid background and experience in process optimisation, operations, or business management
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes and methodologies
- Advanced understanding of TQM
- Experience in supporting business-critical systems and applications
- Ability to coach individually or in small groups/teams, manage projects (multiple projects) and apply conflict management skills
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping, facilitating Kaizen events and knowledge of lean tools and process
- A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organisational structures
- Demonstrated ability to assess Lean maturity and drive meaningful change initiatives
- Excellent communication ad presentation skills
