Up to 12 months assignment with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements
About the role
As a Contract Administration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project team. You will primarily focus on Finance, Procurement, Contract Management, and other administrative tasks within the Business Services Team of the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformational rail infrastructure projects shaping Queensland's future.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Deliver assigned work in alignment with departmental policy and processes.
Assist the procurement team with contract management support, creating contracts, and entering tender and variation details to progress to financial approval.
Support internal contract managers with processes such as contractor performance plans and other contract management documentation.
Support the day-to-day operations of the project team by undertaking administrative support functions as directed to assist with team objectives.
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adequate outcomes of assigned duties.
Actively contribute to effective team operation and participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
Models' ethical behaviour and consistently applies those ethical standards to self and others.
Other accountabilities within the team as reasonably directed.
About You
To thrive in this role, you need:
Proven experience in Contract Administration, procurement support, or related roles.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in working in a major infrastructure project environment would be highly desirable.
Strong understanding of departmental policies and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Commitment to ethical conduct and workplace safety.
Familiarity with the Queensland Public Service legislative framework is advantageous.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
Be able to pass and hold national police check.
