As the Contracts Manager you will provide a significant level of experience and expertise across all stages of project delivery.
About This Role
- Working closely with the Commercial and Project Delivery teams, your responsibilities will include all aspects of commercial practices including compliance, contract administration, claims, reporting and financial processes.
- Provide guidance on procurement and contract administration procedures to ensure consistent best practices are followed across the business.
- Manage and monitor contract securities, insurances, claims, EOT variations under the head contract and key subcontracts.
- Provide support and coordination relative to the reporting requirements of the project including the preparation of monthly progress reports
- Accountable for driving the overall performance of assigned contracts and providing subject matter expert contract advice and guidance.
- Review Head Contract and Subcontract agreements to identify contractual risk, and manage the negotiation of contract departures
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities to find new and better ways of operating, leading to increased effectiveness and efficiency. Create a supportive culture that encourages innovation and improvement and a team that embraces change.
About You
- You have a minimum of 15 years experience in contracts administration and have developed strong commercial and financial acumen
- Tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or, legal is preferable.
- Exposure to one or more of the following areas; food processing, industrial, warehousing, education, civil and government projects
- Enthusiastic and a customer focused professional providing exemplary service to clients.
- Experience working with Jobpac or similar
- Have strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law
- Ability to provide technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills
- Exposure to managing Australian Standards contracts is preferred.
